Problem

Barclay Street Real Estate is a locally owned full-service commercial real estate brokerage and property management firm, with offices in Calgary and Edmonton. Barclay Street Real Estate’s team has been serving businesses throughout western Canada for over 50 years.

The company had outdated branding, signage, and website, and as a result, it had limited visibility in the community and lost out to competitors in bids and proposals. Though they had been in Calgary for decades, they had very limited brand awareness in the community and needed a rebrand.

Strategy

Over a three-month period, The Marketing Girl team managed the RFP process and project rollout for the corporate rebrand with a new logo, new building signage, and website. The website was an extensive project, with custom search functions and a subscription system. TMG developed all of the content (including 50 bios), sourced images, and liaised with the internal team and vendors to complete all website development and launch. Following the brand launch, TMG also planned a brand announcement party for internal and external stakeholders to fully “unveil” the new brand and website.

Since then, Barclay Street Real Estate has engaged The Marketing Girl team for dozen of projects ranging from marketing strategies to PR plans, and more.

We have worked with Amanda for years, during which time she has taken us from being relatively unknown within Calgary to a household name.

Within a few months, the website received triple the activity of the previous website. The Client was featured in multiple publications as an industry representative, including the Calgary Herald. The Client has reported that they have received countless compliments on the branding and website functions from clients and even competitors.

Over the last few years, the recognition of the Client’s brand and reputation in the industry, and in the general public, has grown substantially. The Client went from being Calgary’s best-kept secret, to becoming a household name, and winning the Consumer Choice Award in Commercial Real Estate, beating out many big international names TWO years in a row.
